After five fashion, hair, and makeup

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Busy, busy Saturday! Started off the day assisting my super sister-in-law Erin with a wedding in Richardson. We knocked out nine girls--hair and makeup--in five hours. Ahthankyou! Pictures to follow soon. I also got pictures in today from a little wedding that I helped out with back in October. My little brother Sky's wedding took place in Amarillo. In the midst of some serious drama with the venue, I managed to do my Mama's hair and makeup, my cousin's hair, and my own.

My beauteous Mama! She has super short hair, but I was still able to give her volume and some sass for the ceremony.

An action shot of me working on her.

My ridiculously gorgeous cousin Ali. I gave her some volume in the back, gathered her into a romantic, curly side-ponytail, and stuck a flower in her hair.
A finished shot of my Mama and I. Even with her short hair, she looks glam, and I managed to get half my hair up into a full looking bun with loose romantic curls. It's so much harder doing your own hair!

By the way, you should totally check out my sister-in-law's page. She got me into the wedding business and taught me everything I know about special occasion makeup. She's my Jedi Master of the Makeup! http://erinblairgobin.blogspot.com/

Oh What a Night

After an interesting outing involving Christmas lights, Pizookie, and popsicles I checked my facebook to discover that the FANtasy girls from 105.3 had posted their pictures from the shoot they let me come play at a few nights ago. Great, fun girls to work with and an excellent example of the more glamorous, smoky look I do. These awesome photos were taken by Kyle Porter.

Her makeup is clean, but still smoky. I used purple to smoke her out because it made her eyes pop.

Rachel and Jessica (respectively) doing a calendar shoot for the marine boys. I went with a heavily smoked eye for both of them. Rachel has shades of brown, and I opted for black and grey with Jessica.

You can see Rachel's eyes a little bit better on this one.

Rachel was my first girl to work on for the evening. This shot was earlier. She still looks glam and sexy, but not as smoky.

Kyndra's another good example of the smoky eye. I love the glow she's got going on!
